Winter Park Resort is excited to announce new additions to Colorado's oldest resort. From a new base village, including new shops and restaurants, to a state of the art village cabriolet; and $40 million in on-mountain improvements over the past five years. Winter Park Resort is transforming into a true destination resort. Enjoy the scenic beauty of Arapahoe National Forest while enjoying some of Colorado's finest skiing and riding.
Working toward enhancing guest experience for the upcoming season, Winter Park Resort has purchased over $250 thousand worth of new ski/ride gear to update the quality of rental offerings. All rental skis will fall under the resort's new Salomon Syncro rental system, synonymous with lightning fast fitting for a faster, more efficient rental process.
In addition, find your way up the mountain to check out the improvements at Snoasis. They have transformed the first floor into a kid's haven to add more fun for the smallest rippers.
They have been working very hard in the off season to make the 2010-2011 ski season one to remember. Winter Park includes the following areas:
- Winter Park -
Pure family fun. It's as simple as that. Traditional groomed cruisers. Challenging mogul runs. And a total of 14 acres Learn to Ski and Snowboard areas.
- Mary Jane -
No Pain, No Jane! Consistently rated the best bumps in North America. According to Skiing Magazine and anyone else who's skied here. Steep, deep and relentless, that's Mary Jane.
- Vasquez Cirque -
Not for the faint of heart. Expert only, extreme backcountry terrain. Even pros squirm at some of these cornices. Powder. Trees. Rock drops. And all the adrenaline you can pump.
- Vasquez Ridge -
Almost like owning a private mountain. You'll enjoy a couple hundred acres of wide open cruisers and exciting bumps all to yourself. Even days after a storm, you'll still be making fresh tracks.
- Parsenn Bowl -
Above the tree line but not above your ability. One of the few bowls intermediates can also enjoy. Hard to say what takes your breath away most, the views of the Rockies or the endless runs.
- Rail Yard Terrain Park -
Winter Park offers a natural progression for freeriders of all levels with three terrain parks. Small features and rails in Discovery Park are designed for beginners. Kendrick Terrain Park is a step up for intermediates and Rail Yard is geared toward advanced riders. The Superpipe, located on the face of Allan Phipps, is 450-feet long and has 18-foot walls. New this season, amplitude banners in the pipe let riders see how much air they're getting. A half-pipe is located next to the Superpipe. Winter Park's Terrain Park and Pipes were ranked #9 in the nation by SKI magazine.

Topography:
Winter Park base elevation is 9000 feet and summit is 10,700 feet. A total skiable acreage of 2,886 acres, including 134 designated trails and 1,467 acres of off-piste terrain, including Vasquez Cirque and glade skiing on the rest of the mountain. The longest run at Winter Park is over 2 miles in length.
What to Do and See:
When you arrive in Winter Park, you know it. It's hard to miss the awe-inspiring views of the Continental Divide. Even more difficult is believing you're just 67 miles from Denver. As you descend Berthoud Pass into the Fraser Valley below, you feel you're entering a whole different world. And really, you are.
